Thursday 22nd June – injection day three: panic almost over

Today I managed to start panicking even before I got to the injection time – well done me!

I suddenly had this thought during the day that maybe I shouldn’t be taking the medication out of the fridge before injecting it, as it’s been so hot and the injection pen gets steamy and weird each time I do it. So I asked my friend what she had done with hers, and she said she was told to leave it out after the first injection and not place it back in the fridge. Oh my god – PANIC!! Maybe I’ve been doing it wrong all along! You can only imagine the state of panic I was in, and I almost called the emergency number again. But then I thought that maybe I should wait and check what the instructions say, and indeed they said that the pen CAN be kept out of the fridge after the first use, but only if the temperature is under 25 degrees. Well, we’ve been having a heatwave, so it has been much warmer than that. Panic over. I managed to do the injection (didn’t see any liquid again), and I hope that it’s working. Grow, little eggs, grow! On Saturday I’ll find out what’s been going on.

Physically, I’ve been feeling OK, considering how many drugs I’ve been taking and the stress I’ve been experiencing… I had a very long day today teaching different lessons and only had one cup of coffee, and drank so much water… I had to pee every hour or so. My stomach is getting a bit bloated too. And I’m feeling a little tired, but that isn’t unusual. Also, I’ve been eating lots of things with protein – I’m like an athlete obsessed with growing muscles, checking the protein levels of everything before I buy it. Only I’m growing eggs. And now it’s time for us (me and my eggs) to go to bed.

Here is a video of me doing the injection tonight. Enjoy!
