So today (well, tonight) I had to do the last injection. This is a different one, which came in a small bottle and you need to do at exactly the time they tell you to. My egg collection is on Monday at 10:30am, so I had to do this injection at exactly 10:30pm tonight (so it’s kind of 2 days before). It’s a very easy one to do, as you can see from the video, but of course I managed to feel like I was messing it up by having an air bubble in there which might be taking up liquid space, therefore I’m not actually injecting the correct dose. Have I mentioned that I’m an idiot yet?
I also decided to read the leaflet attached just before I started – not a good idea. I suddenly thought that maybe there are reasons why I shouldn’t take it, but there I was, at 22:15, 15 minutes before the deadline, and there’s no way that I was going to not do this. So I ignored the instructions, hope it is ok… Only time will tell! Hahaha. Anyway, I hope I did it right.
So that’s it – all is done. I think I might miss those little injections. Nah, who am I kidding – it was a bloody nightmare having to do them all the time. I’ll have so much more free time now!
Now it’s time for a new stress – collection day on Monday. Tomorrow I’ll try to get ready for it and write a bit about what you need to prepare and take with you. But for now, I really need to rest. I’ve been so exhausted all day. My stomach hurts. I’m hungry all the time. I have to pee all the time. I just want this to be over. How do people do this for 9 months??? Anyway, good night and sleep tight, little eggs. Soon you’ll be out and frozen, and all will be well.
Here is a video of this once in a lifetime injection:
