I’ve been thinking about freezing my eggs for a while, as a kind of insurance plan in case I get even older and suddenly realise that I’ve forgotten to have children. I mean, in case I regret not having them or decide that I want to have some. Starting the process took me a long time, and I thought that it would have helped me if people talked more openly about it and if there were more blogs that I could read in order to understand the process. And then I thought – why don’t I write a blog while I do it and share my freezing journey with my friends and others, and hopefully inform someone who is considering doing this but is not sure about how it works?
So that is why I decided to write this blog and share my very personal experience. Since I’m kind of technologically challenged, it’s taken me ages to figure out how to actually create a blog, and so I am slowly adding posts. For this reason, the date of my entries may not correspond with the dates that I publish the posts (does this make sense?). But I am writing and filming as I go through this process and trying to be as accurate as I can in describing it. Enjoy.
